Bio

An expert in the area of construction deficiencies, Joe is known for his ability to find solutions to the problems and issues common to new building construction.

After being called to the Bar in Ontario in 1997, Joe began his legal career with one of Canada’s largest national law firms, where he practiced commercial litigation before joining Deo Condominium Lawyers.

Joe’s broad knowledge of the legal issues surrounding construction matters and building-related problems have made him the go-to lawyer for all issues relating to construction deficiencies, Tarion warranties and civil remedies. Not only does Joe understand the process, he consistently finds creative solutions to the complex problems his clients bring to him. Joe represents clients at various levels of court as well as before adjudicative bodies including the Tarion Warranty Corporation, the License Appeal Tribunal, the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

A devoted father with two young sons, Joe divides his time outside of the office between family and his involvement in the condominium industry. He is a member of the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) and he frequently speaks at CCI events. Joe also works to identify industry best-practices through his committee work with CCI.
